In the recent past, much emphasis is laid down on women empowerment. The same has also been recognized by Govt. of India as one of the initiatives. The Bank is in the process of extending financial assistance to women entrepreneurs through women specific schemes, especially to women belonging to ST/ SC/ BPL CARD HOLDERS, which may help them to achieve the targeted growth. Accordingly, with a view to extend financial assistance and to give focused attention to such women entrepreneurs, we have formulated this scheme, BGVB MAHILA UDYAMI for women to generate income through activities either in Manufacturing/Service/Trading/ Small business etc. to augment catalyze micro financing with an aim to tap vast business potential available in this segment.
Purpose/Objective:
- To empower and encourage women for income generation for activities either in manufacturing/ service/ trading/ small business etc.
- To finance for setting up new unit I enterprise or for expansion I
modernization of existing Unit.
- For acquisition of fixed assets (Plant & Machinery, equipment, furniture &
fixtures)
- To meet working capital needs for purchase of various products I
equipments I tools etc. to meet their day to day requirements.
Eligibility:
- Any individual women/ women entrepreneur (s)/ Enterprise where women entrepreneurs hold not less than 50% of financial holding.
- However, preference will be given to women belonging to ST/SC/BPL Card
Holders.
- Preference will be given to the categories of women entrepreneurs trained in
R-SETls I Skill Development Institutions etc. any other training institute.
- Not a defaulter to any Bank I Financial Institution.
- Loan facility availed by the beneficiaries under Govt. sponsored scheme are
not eligible under BGVB MAHILA UDYAMI
